Petty Officer 1st Class Sean M. McClain, 35, of Choctaw, OK, formerly of Decatur, IL, passed away on May 4, 2011 in Long Beach, MS.

A service to celebrate Sean's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday (May 14, 2011) at Dawson & Wikoff North Chapel, Decatur, IL. Visitation will be one hour prior to services on Saturday. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society 5301 CBC Snead Street Gulfport, MS 39501. Sean was born on June 11, 1975 in Decatur, IL, the son of Danny Lee McClain and Roberta Catherine Smalley. He has served in the U.S. Navy in Iraq and Afghanistan. Sean was very proud of being a Seabee. He married Jennifer L. Dunakey on April 20, 2001.

Surviving are his wife: Jennifer L. McClain of Choctaw, OK; children: Cecily Lynn McClain (15), Christian Michael McClain (9), Cailan Louise McClain (6); father: Danny Lee McClain of Las Vegas, NV; mother: Roberta Catherine (Dwain) Smalley of Cerro Gordo, IL; maternal grandmother: Shirley McCaney of Decatur, IL; paternal grandmother: Laquita McClain of Las Vegas, NV; brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews; father-in-law: Grif Dunakey of Mt. Zion, IL; mother-in-law: Rita West of Mt. Zion, IL.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers.

To the family, your in my prayers and in my heart.... andI am always here for you if u need anything....You all were like family to me I have known u since I was a lil girl and you all were there threw hard times of my life and good times :) and that is what family is all bout so please be strong and its okay to cry I am ;but just know he is in the sky making it so beatuiful and making u smile as he is for me tooo I love you all and I am sorry I could not be there I really wanted too but at short notice I could not be so I am sending u flowers.....to be with you
